class ComponentDefinition(*values)

Bases: StrEnum

Identity/composition completeness of a component (the ‘what is it’ axis).

Orthogonal to the amount axis (MediaComponent.concentration is None means the amount is not yet sourced). composition_deferred is a DEFINED sub-mix we have not expanded (commercial YNB, the SC ‘amino-acid supplement’), resolvable from a cited protocol -> follow defers_to. intrinsically_undefined is a batch-variable biological digest (peptone, yeast extract, corn steep liquor) that no recipe fully pins; if later mass-spec’d, its measured constituents become their own defined components.
