closure_compatibility(release: str, torchcell_commit: str, dataset_names: Iterable[str], closures: Mapping[str, Mapping[str, str]], surface: SchemaSurface) → ReleaseCompatibility[source]

The compatibility verdict from a release’s closures and any schema surface.

The surface may come from the working tree, from git show at a package tag (scripts/kg_compat_page.py reads the closures from the committed snapshot), or from any two files parsed by torchcell.provenance.schema_deps.load_surface.
