filter_redundant_terms(G_go: DiGraph) → DiGraph

Return a new graph with redundant GO terms removed.

A GO term is considered redundant if it has exactly the same gene set as one of its parents. The original graph is not modified.

Parameters:

G_go – Input Gene Ontology graph

Returns:

A new filtered copy of the graph
