torchcell.graph.filter_by_date

filter_by_date(G_go: DiGraph, cutoff_date: str) → DiGraph[source]

Return a new graph with nodes having annotations after cutoff_date removed.

The original graph is not modified.

Parameters:

  • G_go – Input Gene Ontology graph

  • cutoff_date – Date string in format ‘YYYY-MM-DD’. Nodes with gene annotations after this date will be filtered out.

Returns:

A new filtered copy of the graph
