metabolite_gene_set(records: Sequence[dict[str, Any]]) → set[str]

The host loci a dataset’s records name: the L4 gene-universe overlap key.

Every perturbed systematic name except the HETEROLOGOUS ones, which is the same test the bioproduction families apply (heterologous_identifier()): an identifier whose source_organism is not the record’s own species is a gene of another genome and is not a claim about a locus of the host, while an extra copy of a NATIVE gene names its real locus and stays in. The set was the deleted-ORF key, which answered a different question with a type string, so a heterologous pathway gene was checked against the host annotation and a native added copy was not.
