(changed, added) between a recorded value surface and the current one.

CHANGED covers a recorded file whose content differs and a recorded file that is now gone; both mean the values the served nodes were built from are not the values a new node would be built from. ADDED is a file that joined the surface after the build: nothing served was built from it, so it is additive and only reported.
